COLWYN BAY & DISTRICT T20 EVENING CRICKET LEAGUE Sponsored By SPILLANE & CO WEALTH MANAGEMENT |
Chwarae Teg - Play Hard, Play Fair Above all other team games, Cricket has a hard earned and jealously protected reputation for being played, win or lose, within the boundaries of "fair play" showing sportsmanship towards opponents and team mates. We encourage 'Chwarae Teg' in the Evening League.

Welcome back to the official website of the Colwyn Bay & District T20 Evening Cricket League sponsored by Spillane & Co Wealth Management - we hope you enjoy! The Colwyn Bay & District Cricket League was founded in 1965 for local players to participate in a game of cricket on a summer's evening. Until 2008 the League was sponsored by local sports store Gilbert Emery. Since the beginning of 2009 season we have new League sponsors - SPILLANE & CO WEALTH MANAGEMENT, based in Colwyn Bay. Why not visit our sponsors? www.spillaneandcompany.co.uk The 2011 season will see the league played using the Twenty 20 system for the first time replacing our traditional 15x8 ball overs. We currently have 17 teams registered and split into 3 Divisions for our 46th year. Our league fixtures began this season on Tuesday 3rd May - good luck to all our teams. Membership of our successful league for 2011 is now CLOSED, those wishing to play any friendly matches during 2011 need to contact the League Secretary at johnbaz1971@yahoo.co.uk as the season progresses. Any team contemplating joining us are welcome to contact the League Secretary. I will strive to keep the website updated regularly, but I can only do so with the help of YOU!! Match details, results, reports, 50s etc can only be recorded if I have the details sent to me at cricket@dentith.plus.com or through League Secretary John Barrett. Apologies for the lack of website last season, technical difficulties, computer wizardry and workload have all played major parts. As most of you are aware, I resigned my position as League Secretary at the 2009 AGM and did say I would keep up the website. This proved much more difficult than anticipated. With the help of my technically gifted colleagues, a version of the website was posted recently to gauge interest and to avoid losing any of the current website if things didn't work. It seemed to upload ok - not perfectly - and hence the reason we are now live (if not perfect) once again. It has also been a struggle to update scores etc as I have only had the weekly reports to hand and not results, scores, 50s etc as in previous seasons. So sorry for this season, hopefully we can add to this website again with your help. Sorry once again, Darren Why not join us on FaceBook? http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/group.php?gid=56043584388&ref=ts
